Subject: A gem
This is another hot show in the state of Maine... They sure like Playing here. Maybe it's the seafood they look forward to.
Really though for some reason they seem to rip off some true Gems in the state of Maine , Augusta in 84 , here in Portland In 82 break out of Ashes ashes as we called it then & 85 with the Day Tripper show. Outside with Lewiston in 80 and my not so favorite year of 88 but still hot smoking shows every time they come to Maine.
About this show and the sound of this recording it is top notvh. Any 2nd set that starts with Playing in the Band is a favorite of mine because it can go anywhere. Playing in the Band Is there Dark star of the 80's

that I got to hear my first ever Box of Rain live.
(((((Thank you Phil))) It was a very sweet moment. This show has other great high lights, super fun opener as well as the rest of the first set the continued PITB through out the second set, a KILLER Dear Mr. Fantasy and a poetic Baby Blue encore.

Subject: First show
Pulled it up mostly for nostalgia- I knew only the material on skeletons on the closet when I showed up. It was a beautiful spring day in Portland. The scene blew me away all day, and then the boys at night.

Its a pretty good show when its all said and done.

only 5 jerry tunes all night! (6 w encore)

whats with the second set? Only Franklins (and Wheel, which isnt really a Jerry tune)

Ever seen a show with so few Garcia tunes?
